Insructions when picking up from Nor Con.


NorCon has created a new Pickup Request Form to assist you in your shopping needs.  The form has two pages for use with large shipments.  You may print this form and make copies for future shipments.

 

Filling out the form:

 

  • Please write neatly.  If we can’t read it, we will fax it back and ask you to do it again.
  • The cubic feet is very important.  The cubic feet determine the type of truck we send to your location.  If you give us the wrong cubic feet, we may send a truck that is too small to take all of your freight.  To calculate the basic cubic feet simply multiply the length by the width by the height.  (LENGTH x WIDTH x HEIGHT= CUBIC FEET)  If you do not know the cubic feet, give us the size of your largest box, in inches, so we can calculate your cubic feet.  The size will have three numbers: LENGTH x WIDTH x HEIGHT.
  • Please provide the cartons, weight and cubic feet per purchase order.
  • After you provide the total cartons, weight, and cubic feet for a destination, please leave a space before writing your next shipment.

 

*Note Please: Remember that we do not do same day pick ups for Nordstrom.  The Nordstrom routing guide requires you to OBTAIN (NOT fax/email by) a pickup number by 3:00PM EST.  If you want us to pick up freight on Tuesday, you must contact us by 2:00PM EST Monday.  If you want to pick up on Monday, you must  call us by 2:00PM EST Friday.

Faxing in your request:

 

  • During busy times (like the end of the month) our fax machine may get backed up.  We may not receive your request until after the deadline and your request will be delayed.
  • If there is a problem with your request, we want to talk to you.  If we cannot reach you, we will schedule your pickup for the following business day.
  • When we have finished your request, we will provide you with a confirmation number.  This guarantees that we have your order scheduled.
  • If you are faxing in your request, please do not leave your office until you have received a confirmation number from NorCon.
